Explain the term hematosis? In humans where does hematosis take place?

Answer: Hematosis is the oxygenation of blood. Venous blood (or oxygen-poor) subsequent to hematosis is converted into arterial blood (or oxygen-rich). In humans hematosis occurs in the lungs.
