Burnout offers the warnsug facet of driving indicator at the end of scale, when the input circuit is open. A burnout resistor is provided that generates a voltage drop among the evaluating amplifier and circuit. The polarity of the signal verifies the direction of the servo drive up on an open circuit in the input.
