Explain extracellular digestion

Extracellular digestion: It is that digestion in which food breaking into utile molecules which can be internalized by the cell is prepared in the extracellular space, that is, exterior the cell. In extracellular digestion the cells secret substances which break big molecules into the smaller ones in external atmosphere. Later the cell can take advantage from such products of digestion.
