Difference between RNA and DNA
Regarding their biological function describe the difference between RNA and DNA?
Expert
DNA is a source of information for the RNA production (or transcription) and therefore for protein synthesis. DNA is still the base of heredity due to its replication ability.
The messenger RNA is the template for protein synthesis (or translation). In this procedure, rRNA and tRNA as well participate as the first carries amino acids for the polypeptide chain formation and the second is structural constituent of ribosome (that is, the organelles where proteins are prepared).
