Alzheimer’s disease is degenerative disease of central nervous system in that the patient has progressive dementia and alteration of the mental functions.
The disease basically appears after 40 years of the age and it is more often in elderly. Image studies of brain show broad loss of brain tissue. (The Alzheimer’s disease must not be confused with other mental deteriorations common in elderly.)
