Alumina is the important constituent of a brick. A good quality of brick should have an alumina in the range of 20-30%. Silica is another constituent that exist in a brick. A brick should have silica in the range of 50-60%. Up to 5% of lime is preferable for a good quality of brick. Hence Alumina, Silica and lime are considered as the major constituents of a good quality of brick.
