Function of Pile foundations
What are the reasons to use Pile foundations during construction?
Expert
Function of Pile Foundations:If the construction engineers find that the soil present is not capable enough to bear the load of the construction over it, they think of installing a pile in the soil. Thus after using the pile, the load of the construction gets transferred to the solid ground instead of weak soil base. The use of pile can be the only practicable solution if the soil present below the construction is not stable or is not enough able to tolerate the load placed over it. The use of the pilling system is very economical also. Also in case of normal conditions in order to bear the load both vertical as well as horizontal loads and also in case of those foundations which are based on water like jetties the use of piles can be beneficial for the construction.
