Characteristics of a-biotic factors of an ecosystem
Describe how does the biological diversity is related to characteristics of a-biotic factors of an ecosystem?

Availability of the a-biotic factors, such as moisture, light, mineral salts, heat and carbon dioxide, conditions more or less biodiversity of an ecosystem. Photosynthesis depends upon the water and light, and plants require carbon dioxide, mineral salts, and adequate temperature for their cells to work. In the environments in which these factors are not restrictive, synthesis of the organic material (by photosynthesis) is maximum, plants and algae may reproduce easier, population of these beings increases, potential ecological niches multiply and new species arises. The large mass of producers’ forms viable the appearance of the diversity of consumers of several orders. In environments with the restrictive abiotic factors, such as deserts, the producers exist in little number and less diversity, characteristics which thus extend to the consumers and conditions fewer ecological niches to be explored.
