DIRECTIONS
Select a career for your future self and identify yourself in your report.
You can be a researcher for city, county, state or federal government. You can also be writer for various types of magazines.
You will use the data set supplied in StatCrunch.
Besure to reference the data set in your report and state why you are analyzing the data set.
Think carefully about what kind of variables to choose for the given tasks. You will want to tell a story with your variable selection.
Be sure to write a conclusion to your overall paper summing up the results.
Before using each variable, you will have to define it based on the type of variable.
• If it is a nominal variable provide the frequency distribution and bar graph of the same variable
• If it is a continuous variable provide the mean, median, skewness, kurtosis, standard deviation and graph of that variable
Use your selected variables to perform the following analyses
• Cross tabulation of two variables
• Comparison of the effect of three or more groups (single variable) on a single continuous variable (ANOVA)
• Scatterplot of two continuous variables and correlation between the two variables
Each of the above three analyses should have:
• Description of the variables used (see above),
• Null and Alternate hypotheses (in symbols and in words)
• Interpretation of the results.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
