Assignment: Strategic Alignment
XYZ is a full-service law firm aiming to expand from being a leading regional firm to a nationally recognized firm offering services to large clients. Accordingly, XYZ has established an organizational strategy that promotes active community involvement by its attorneys to create a visible presence and positive reputation for the company. XYZ also strives to maintain highly competent and talented attorneys in each practice area so that there is always an expert available for specialized consultation. The organization's culture has long viewed all employees as a big family and has emphasized an egalitarian atmosphere to promote a collaborative work environment among all associates, not just among partners and/or attorneys at XYZ. In fact, XYZ attorneys frequently work together on various assignments, and many key decisions are made in these work teams. Must appropriately cite all resources used in your responses and document in a bibliography using APA style. (A 1½-page response is required.)
1. Drawing from the Heneman and Dixon (2001) article, articulate a compensation strategy that fits XYZ according to the four (4) basic pay policies covered by Milkovich and Newman (2004).
2. In addition, specify what pieces of information you still need to reach a thorough analysis and how that information would help you develop your final recommendation.
