What is the magnitude of the maximum horizontal force

Assignment:

1.) A sled is resting on a horizontal patch of snow and the coefficient of static friction is 0.35. The sled and its rider have a total mass of 38 kg. What is the magnitude of the maximum horizontal force that can be applied to the sled before it just begins to move?

2.) A sled is sliding at 4 m/s along a horizontal stretch of snow. The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.05. How far does the sled go before stopping?

3.) A jet plane is flying with a constant speed along a straight line at an angle of 30° above the horizontal. The plane has a weight W of magnitude 86500 N and its engines provide a forward thrust T of magnitude 103000 N. In addition, the lift force L (directed upwards perpendicular to the wings) and the force R of air resistance (directed opposite the motion) act on the plane. Find L and R.

4.) A flatbed truck is carrying a crate up a 10° hill. The coefficient of static friction between the truck bed and the crate is 0.35. Find the maximum acceleration that the truck can attain before the crate begins to slip backward relative to the truck.

5.) Block 1 (mass m1 = 8 kg) is moving on a frictionless 30° incline. This block is connected to block 2 (mass m2 = 22 kg) by a massless cord that passes over a massless and frictionless pulley and hangs down. Find the acceleration of each block and the tension in the cord.
