There are many NCAA rules governing amateurism and the issue of amateurism in college sports has become one of the most debated topics in all of sports.
While there are staunch supporters on both sides of the issue, many also still fall somewhere in between on where they stand. Solutions range from allowing student-athletes to profit off of their likenesses to a system of pay for play for athletes. However, from the O'Bannon trial to the backlash over stories like the recent NCAA investigation into Todd Gurley allegedly accepting money for his autograph and every story related to amateurism, no matter where you stand on this issue, one thing is for certain -- the landscape of amateurism in college sports is changing.
Review the resources & information below and do some of your own research on the issue of amateurism and pay for play in college sports. Based on what you have learned, please answer the following questions:
