Our rural hospital struggles with being between two bigger cities with full access. The popping up of the stand alone ER's; offering lessservices do to being smaller; funding isn't as much for rural hospitals
As a critical access hospital, pros are low wait times in the E.R.; easy access to the ambulatory services with quality care; have won several national awards despite our size; patient to nurse ratio is lower than the bigger hospitals
