• You will research a company of your choice in the lodging industry. (I CHOSE THE RITZ CARLTON hotel chain)
• You will provide information on all aspects of the company's operations.
• Your paper will be double spaced, 12pt font, and no more than six pages in length.
• I will provide the grading rubric for your reference.
• Along with the paper, you will create a powerpoint presentation summarizing your research.

The project details are as follows:
The syllabus states "all aspects of operations"...I am looking for the following information...
1.Brief history of the company past to present.
2.Current sales trends, stock value, (if publicly owned)financial position insegment,etc.)
3.Current and past marketing/advertising schemes that worked or didn't work
4.What is the company known for doing very well?...not so well? (reputation)
5.What does the future hold for your company? (future plans, expansion?contraction?)
6.Who are their customers? What is the companies competitive advantage?
7.Solid conclusion and introduction.
(organize the above requirements in logical order...start with the history)
I am looking for QUALITY information that is well put together IN YOUR OWN WORDS!! Do not cut and paste opinions from the web without giving credit to the speaker! I am interested in facts and YOUR opinions. The quantity of information is much less important than the quality. (the paper should be at least 4 pages of content to address all of the topics but no more than 6 pages, 12pt font,and double spaced.
You will not read your paper to the class. You will give your presentation instead. I will grade your presentation based on your ability to relay the KEY POINTS of your paper to the class. End the presentation by asking if the class has any questions. You may use videos, music, pictures, etc. to make your presentation more interesting! Think outside the box.
I have to present this presentation to the class, so my only requests are that the paper is well written, the powerpoint presentation is clear, informative , and well-organized. Please post go indians in your response, so that I know you read all the requirements and understand them. I do not think it is very difficult, but I have some personal things going on right now that are making it difficult to complete this (work-related). My professor isn't very strict, so I just need the minimum 4 pages and a very short, but informative presentation. Thanks in advance for the help!
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: The company I chose for this project is the RITZ CARLTON HOTEL CHAIN. Please note that the project MUST be completed on this hotel chain. Since they are so large and popular, it should not be difficult to find tons of information to easily put together a presentation and paper on it.
