Ragtime By E.L. Doctorow Is A Work Of Historical Fiction Set During The Progressive Era - The Age Of "Ragtime."
What does the novel tell us about this historical time period? In 3-4 pages, briefly summarize the book, and choosing ONE of the following subject areas: race, the immigrant experience, or gender, and explain what this novel reveals about the early twentieth century in regards to that subject in the United States.
