1. What do you think gave rise to the Pre-Socratic philosophers (the Sophos). There was a transition from the superstition and mythology and a shift towards the early development of philosophy. Why were they interested in reason and observation?
2. Pythagoras is one of the early sophos philosophers. He felt numbers were most important. Do you think we invented math/numbers or created math/numbers?
3. Socrates was put on trial for "Corrupting the youth". How do you understand that? Was he really corrupting the youth?
