They can give us, based on our primary set of competitors, what the demand and supply numbers/facts are. We can then take this out to the local market and make sense of what those numbers represent, whether it is a lot of businesses (corporate headquarters that need hotel rooms many nights in a year) in the area, universities, visitors (leisure travelers), etc.
4. In what ways was the tourism industry impacted with the economic collapse of 2008? What are some innovative ways the tourism industry paved its own road to recovery?
5. Class, Las Vegas and Orlando have the top destination areas due to their attractions. Chicago also has been in the top three destinations. How have their cities been impacted overall economically? What do you feel the economic impact is in your hometown? How would you find out?
6. Class, when we look at our own hometown, search for some tax dollars generated from the impact of tourism in your area, as this is what we are looking for overall here. I look forward to your researched information.
