The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to obtain an Internet domain name for a business. Pick a business that you know well. Then follow the steps below to obtain a domain name for it.
Step 1: Identify the word or words that you would like to use as your domain name.
Step 2: Go to www.icann.org and search existing domain names to make sure that the one you selected is not already being used by someone else. If it is, select a different domain name.
Step 3: Once you have identified a domain name that you can obtain, please outline the steps that you'll take to obtain the domain name for your business.
