Nature, the Sacred, and Questions of Religious Freedom

The approach of the Standing Rock Protest from the perspective of religious freedom is possible. From the outlook of religious freedom Dakota Access Pipeline is being interrupted from the national government, and the Native Americans are still protesting it. The government continues to victimize the Native Americans religion, regardless of the protests that are being done, or the outcome of everything.

Any place that is established for someone to do his or her holy worship should be respected and treated equally regardless of what religion it is. The Standing Rock Protest should be used to show people how the government constantly remains to violate the moralities of many traditional houses across America (Bombino, 2016).

The protest shows how the laws in America continue to show how America has been unsuccessful to respect an individual religion of any kind. Regardless of the alterations of the Native Americans religion, they should not be treated any different but rather the government should treat their worries as a fight of their freedom. In North Dakota, for the Indians water is a holy product.

Guarding the water is not just a government-encouraged action underneath the environment, but rather they need to take an approach and take a stand. If water is a holy source for the Indians, they need to campaign against a pipeline that will damage or stop them from their rights to perform their way of prayers. It is continuously been shown by the campaigners the enlarged relationship between the creations and natural resources (Bombino, 2016). In my religion water is a holy source for us, a way of cleansing ourselves before we pray.

If in any circumstances water became a problem by the government, and we cannot perform the prayers, our freedom to practice our religion is taken away. No one should be stopped to perform there religious acts, regardless if its done in there own houses or a place of there worship.

It is right to say America does not have alterations over anyone's right and sacred values. With this being said, everyone should be offered their freedom and be able to practice whatever they desire to any given time.

For many people who are non-religious seem to have many practices from the community. I feel their needs to be an understanding of people beliefs and their way of practicing their religion, so everyone feels they have the freedom to practice any religion. Standing Rock Protest should be contemplated as a struggle for them everyone in North Dakota to have religious freedom (Avalos, 2016).
