Of the various systems on the market that one I feel would provide the most usability across many sectors would have to be Aestiva Procurement Systems. I preferred this system because of it ability to be used in different areas of industry, and its vast application in those markets already. Aestiva give its end users the ability to customize and or use the system as is with few to little modifications needed. Its even applicable with operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and MacOS. It adds value to any organization looking to provide a seamless work flow from operation to operation or from seller to consumer or anyone for that matter looking to cut down on unnecessary paper work.

Performing Purchasing Agent Duties

Business is booming for Waters, Inc., a growing customer service fulfillment business. Most of its business is coming from clients who once outsourced their customer service needs to firms in India. A major client just signed a contract that will take effect in nine months. This means there are only nine months to purchase the equipment and to train 75 new customer service representatives. As a purchasing agent, you are tasked with getting the computer equipment and software that the new agents will need to the specifications of both the client and established company standards.

This assignment has three (3) distinct parts that are outlined below. This paper will be between seven and ten (7-10) pages long. Label each part clearly.

Part 1: Need Identification and Specification

Create 10 to 12 questions that you will ask the client in order to determine the exact hardware and software needs. Provide a brief rationale for asking the question.

Part 2: RFP2. Write a request for proposal based on the needs and specifications identified during the need and specification stage.

Note: You will have to fabricate the needs and specifications based on outside research, e.g., standard computer specifications, basic software needs, etc. 3. Describe how and to whom you will distribute the RFP. Assume the company has a requirement that minority-owned businesses must be included in the distribution of the RFP.

Part 3: Timeline of Tasks and Activities

Develop a comprehensive timeline of the tasks and activities, and who is involved with each task or activity, that need to take place to fulfill the need in the time frame indicated in the scenario.

Making an investment on resources is an important part of the strategic function of a business. Last year I was part of an ERP system implementation which had an impact at a global level in the organization. As project coordinator I found several critical questions that made us determine what the best option was at that time for the company. It was determined that the software & hardware would need to bring an increasingly consistent value, saving not only money but also time to the end users.

Establishing efficient database administration controls that would allow users at all levels to interact with data in a whole new level of integrity and productivity. Migrating information that would be accurate and real, as opposed to transferring data that was obsolete or inaccurate played a very important role throughout the transition. In this case, I think bringing value and productivity would be the main criteria for choosing a new upgrade on technology resources. A change that can last a whole and make the investment worth 10 times every penny invested on it.
