Steam enters a turbin operating at steady state with a mass flow rate of 4600kg hr-1 . The turbin develops a power output of 1MW. at the inlet the pressure is 6 MPa , the temeperature is 500c and the velocity is 10 m s-1. calculate the rate of heat transfer between the turbine and the surroundings . Note the relative magnitudes of the kinetic energy and enthalpy change.
