Q. How to calculate atomic number?
Atoms have no net electrical charge for the reason that they contain equal numbers of electrons and protons. Therefore positive charges (protons) and negative charges (electrons) balance out. Protons, Electrons and atomic number are related as follows.
Atomic number = number of protons = number of electrons
