Public employee unions
Public employee unions have always been a controversial topic. Taxpayers are asked to foot large bills for wages and benefits negotiated through collective bargaining agreements between public employee unions and federal, state and local governmental agencies. Recently states, most notably Wisconsin and Ohio have passed laws restricting the collective bargaining rights of public employees.
