Discussion:
As part of the report, "The Future of Public Health", the Committee found that the governmental public health infrastructure has been neglected and an overhaul of its components (e.g., workforce, laboratories, public health law) is needed to ensure the quality of services and optimal performance. What specific recommendations would you make in each of above components of public health? Are your recommendations political and economically feasible? Is there a "window of opportunity" for any of your recommendations?
