Assignment:
Choose some topic related to art and the period of the Renaissance and the Reformation (ca.1475-1540) in German-speaking lands. Within 5 pages, write an essay explaining how and why you would like to change an existing Wikipedia entry on this topic.
You might wish to add or subtract information or both. In your essay you should include references on which you base your proposed changes and any necessary images. Please also include the url and a printout of the existing entry that you wish to change.
Learning and teaching goals of the assignment: learning to be critical of what you read on Wikipedia, feeling empowered to change what we all read on Wikipedia, gaining experience in making decisions about what matters most when you decide to change something that is already published.
