1. In Chapter 3 we will discuss ways in which we understand our identity and sense of self. How important is your memory for understanding who you are? In other words, being able to recall the past and retain new memories helps you understand who you are? What is worse having all your memories or not being able to retain memories?
2. Pictures. How important is it for you to look through old pictures and have a sense of self? Do you recognize yourself in these pictures, or do you have no recollection. What if you have no pictures over the years to reflect on, how do you understand yourself?
