Assignment:
Once you have been assigned a segment of the industry, your objectives for this project are as follows:
• Identify at least three of the current industry trends within your segment.
• Review at least three management career opportunities within your segment. Try to find salary guidelines for positions.
• Identify and familiarize yourself with the industry "key players". Choose one company to highlight and create a company profile for the company selected.
• Present the major technological advancements being made within your segment to remain competitive, enhance service, and improve productivity.
• Determine what changes are being made across the segment in response to sustainability efforts. How are the key players responding to those efforts?
Current Industry Trends:
• Current trends must be selected from a 2014 industry or newspaper publication.
• The article(s) must apply specifically to your assigned industry and must be an "event" (i.e. trend, development or challenge) taking place at that current moment or something that is foreseeable in the near future.
• Please be sure to have a copy of the article with the necessary reference information for your presentation.
