Recently, you made recommendations to the Chief of Police on how to best work with minority communities and the media.
Now the Chief has asked you to prepare a memorandum on the use of drones. Your agency currently has an older Bell Jet Ranger helicopter and it is time to replace the machine. The Chief wants information on replacing the helicopter with a new one or one or more drones.
For this assignment prepare a brief paper in memo form on the following:
Brief summary of the capabilities of a drone including costs.
Discuss the legal implications including if drones are treated any different that helicopters.
Possible community response.
Recommendation on replacing the department helicopter, Air One, with a drone or not.
