1) In a world where we have two assumptions: Assumption A) We will continue making progress in building more intelligent machines. Assumption B) Human intelligence arises from physical processes. How do we create AI that will work to the benefit of humanity rather than to our detriment? In other words with machines that are arguably thousands of times smarter than we are how do we make them safe?
2) In a marketplace where machines begin to perform all conceivable forms of labor, we have built the perfect labor-saving devices. How do we ensure that all of humanity can enjoy the fruits of this revolution and not just a select few who happened to own the right companies at the right time?
3) How should we change how government and the rule of law works, as AI comes to take on ever more decision-making?
