Topic Selection and Article Search
Topic: Find a peer reviewed journal article about a health topic that is of interest to you. You will then describe how nutrition plays a role with your chosen topic. The article should be related to major health topics discussed in class such as:
· Diets: low carb diet, juicing, Mediterranean diet, etc.
· Exercise
· Physical activity
· Stress
· Diseases: CVD, Cancer, etc.
Article Search:
· Use the resources provided by the BHC library to find an appropriate article.
· Or try using Google Scholar
· Article must be current; last 5 years
· Article must be peer reviewed
Article Design and Reaction
A. Create a DESIGNthat displays the information from the article in an organized fashion. Concentrate on the factual information you gained from the article. Your information must be written in your own words; do not include quotes from the article. Some of the information must be displayed in a table or chart that helps the reader understand the article.
B. Describe your REACTION to the article. After reading the article and creating your design, write your reaction and explain the connection to you. Use the following questions to guide your reaction: Why did you choose this article? What is your opinion about the issue? How might the information you gained influence or impact you? What is one thing you believe should be done to help the community? Label this part REACTION.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
