Consider a particular restaurant or retailer that you frequent regularly. Have you ever seen the manager at this location, or do employees generally handle customer issues and concerns? How would you describe the culture within the restaurant or store? Further, why do you continue to return? Use the Internet to research information on this organization and its culture. (Be sure you select an organization for which you can find sufficient information to complete the assignment.) Based on your research, how might the culture affect leadership and vice versa? Further, how does this culture/leadership relationship impact the customer experience? Locate a peer-reviewed article on leadership and culture. Share the specific characteristics of leaders, in general, that impact the culture of an organization.
