Discussion Post: World Cultures
Using two case studies from Lesson 6.3 -- Yaa Asantewaa (Ghana), Dadabhai Naoroji (India), Tongzhi Restoration or Dowager Empress and Emperor Guangxu (China) -- evaluate the effects of the so-called New Imperialism on local peoples in Asia and Africa. Was it a story of European control and domination? Or something more complicated? How did non-European peoples take advantage of or challenge European incursions?
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
