1. How can you define a dual relationship to a layperson? What prohibitions does the APA Ethics Code place on psychologists regarding dual relationships? Do you agree with the prohibitions? Why or why not?
2. Can you think of an example of a dual relationship between a therapist and client that may not necessarily be unethical?
3. Can anyone else think of any potential issues that could arise from providing mental health services in a rural community?
4. What would be the effect on a psychologist who fails to obtain informed consent prior to providing services to a patient?
5. Describe how you will apply that learning in your daily life, including your work life.
6. Describe what may be unclear to you, and what you would like to learn.
