Coal electrical power station. Large central powerstation(about 1000 MW electrical) using fluidized bed combustorsmay be built some day.These giants would be fed 240 tons of coal/hr(90 % C,10% H2) 50% of which would burn wiothin the battery ofprimary fluidized beds, the other 50% elsewhere in the system. Onesuggested design would use a battery of 10 fluidized beds, each 20m long, 4m wide, & containing solids to the depth of 1m. Find the rate of reaction with in the beds , based on oxygenused.
