Find humidity ratio and temperature at exit of evaporative


Air at 27 °C, 1 atm and 50% relative humidity enters and evaporative cooling unit consisting of a heating section followed by a soaked pad evaporative cooler. The unit operates adiabatically at steady state. The air passing through the heating is heated to 45C. Next the air passes through a soaked pad and exits the units with 50% relative humidity. Using the psychometric chart determine:

1) The humidity ratio of the entering air mixture.
2) The rate of heat transfer to the moist air passing through the heating section in kJ per kg of mixture.
3) The humidity ratio and temperature in °C at the exit of the evaporative cooling section.
