Draft Purpose Statement
The next section of the paper gives the purpose of the study. It explains what the student wants to accomplish and what his/her motivation for this study. The statement also includes the significance of the research. This section will be about 1 to 2 paragraphs on the purpose of the research. This entire section will be at least 4 paragraphs and include at least 4 additional peer-reviewed references.

Topic: What if you were a professional journalist? Do you think your chief goals would be the same as that of a social scientist? Should they be the same? Why or why not?
There are 5 Discussion Board Forums that will be completed in this course. You are required to post 1 thread of at least 500 to 700 words and 2 replies of at least 200 to 300 words. For each thread, you must support your assertions with at least 2 citations from sources such as your textbook, peer-reviewed journal articles, and the Bible. The thread and replies must follow current APA format. Please note, with any discussion board, there are formatting limitations. For example, Times New Roman and double-spacing are difficult, so that requirement may be waived. However the "spirit" of APA must be present with references, citations, and a readable 12-point font (Blackboard default is acceptable).
