Section A: Do you remember studying the American Revolution as a child? What about the founding fathers? Now that you have watched the videos for this assignment, is there anything new you have reconsidered when it comes to the American Revolution?

Section B: One of the major discussions in historiography is whether the American Revolution was radical or not. Look at the handout: How Radical was the American Revolution? Forrest McDonald and Gordon S. Wood offer two different perspectives of the revolution. How does each justify their arguments as to just how radical the American Revolution was?
For each author, summarize in 1-2 paragraphs their arguments about the American Revolution.
Section C: In the American Yawp textbook, consider some of the consequences of the American Revolution. How is America changed after the war? What happened to the Loyalists, their slaves, and Native Americans? How does the concept of "popular sovereignty" play a role after the war?
