Discuss the trade- off between money and human lives when considering construction in natural disaster prone zones. Would you be willing to pay twice as much for a house that was hurricane protected, as compared with normal house? Would you be willing to pay more taxes for safer highway bridges? Do you feel that different types of structures (e.g., residential homes and apartment, commercial buildings, nuclear power plants) should be built to different safety standards?
