Assignment:
The topic of the term paper for fall 2016 will be "ETHICS." The object of the paper will be to generally discuss the concepts of ethics and ethical behavior within the framework of the May 29, 1995 issue of the New Yorker magazine article about the Citicorp Tower project, and the ramifications of the actions taken by the story's chief protagonist, William J, LeMessurier. But, rather than discussing this particular story further, another example must be found that either (a) exemplifies similar behavior, OR, (b) describes opposite behavior, i.e., where the main character did not "do the right thing:
Examples must describe actual occurrences or events that can be documented by references. Briefly (3 pages, min.) discuss the incident you have selected, but focus more on the ethical behavior, or lack thereof, of the participants, especially with respect to the ways of thinking about ethical behavior discussed in class (Utilitarian View, Justice View, etc.). The incident could be something that you read about in the newspaper, on TV, on the Internet, or even something that you have personally experienced or seen in your own life.
The paper must be a minimum of THREE (3) PAGES (NOT including cover sheet, table of contents, index, list of references, etc.), double spaced, one (1") inch borders all-around, in 12 point, 'Ariel° font Cite all references using APA (American Psychological Association) style.
