Story Details
As discussed in Section of the text, children like novelty, simplification, repetition, exaggeration, and elaboration in the stories they hear (Coats, 2013). Think back to your childhood or to your children's. What story do you remember as being particularly enjoyable or special? Which of the above mentioned attributes did that story possess? Provide specific examples. Lastly, discuss why you feel your book of choice still stands out to you today and how we, as parents and teachers, can ensure that our children have pleasing experiences with the books we choose.
