Over the last several weeks, you had the opportunity to learn about retail management practices and strategies. For instance, one of the manager's jobs is to motivate and inspire employees. Certain companies are known for their morning cheer, while other companies like Home Depot have provided an employee stock ownership plan. In addition, managers need to come up with a strategic plan for accomplishing their goals. They must be role models for employees and hire the best employees for the organization.
From the readings, discuss the best practices and strategies used by retail managers. Make sure to discuss topics previously mentioned such as motivating employees, strategic planning, providing world-class service, leadership, and employee recruitment. In each case, provide a specific example.
