- Each of these empires, Mughal, Safavid and Ottoman all followed Islam. Pick two and discuss how they differ in their intellectual history.
- Discuss how the Muslims under the Ottoman Empire handled other religions. You are also to look at how the Ottomans dealt with those who were considered non-believers or gentiles.
- In the chapters you read this week, were there any weaknesses discussed for each of these empires and what effect did these weaknesses have on these empires.
