There is much discussion today about securing our borders and the fight against crime. Most Americans do not realize that many of the people who commit these crimes are juveniles that are part of some type of organized gang.
For this assignment, you will research a city in the United States that has a gang problem and describe the extent of the gang problem. Identify the characteristics of the gang and the supposed rationale for gang membership. Finally, describe the resources and policies employed as a response to gang violence.
Create a 12-slide PowerPoint presentation. In addition, be sure to include a title slide and a reference slide using APA formatting. Also, include at least five graphics (charts, tables, photos, etc.) in your presentation, and use at least four academic sources. A good start for your presentation would be in the ProQuest Criminal Justice database in the Online Library.
