Determine the velocity of the water through the lower pipe

Water flows vertically upward through a 10-m-long cylindrical pipe and then through a 10-m-long nozzle connected to it. This straight pipe and nozzle section is connected to the remainder of the pipe system using slip joints. The diameter at the inlet of the cylindrical section (and nozzle) is 1.5 m and the diameter at the nozzle outlet is 0.5 m. The total weight of this pipe section (straight pipe plus nozzle) is 105 N. An external upward vertical force of 20 kN is applied to the subject pipe section. Determine the velocity of the water through the lower pipe section,V1, if the net vertical force on the combined section is zero, considering the total weight of the section and the enclosed water, also. (The loss coefficient for the nozzle is 0.2 and the pipe section is made of cast iron.)
