The tie rod AB and a pipe strut AC are used to support a 100-kN load as shown in the figure. Both members are made of structural steel (E = 200GPa). The cross-sectional areas are 620 mm2 for AB and 1,000 mm2 for AC. Determine the changes in length of the tie rod and pipe strut and the horizontal and vertical displacement of point A.
