Determine mass flow rate of the steam and power output


Steam enters a turbine at 9 MPa and 500 celcius with a velocity of 50 m/s and leaves at 20 kPa with a quality of 90 percent, and with a velocity of 900 m/s. A heat loss of 300 kJ/s occurs during the process. The inlet area of the turbine is 125 cm^2. Determine (a) the mass flow rate of the steam, and (b) the power output (c) the exit area.
