Determine mass flow rate of steam to generate power

A steam turbine operates at steady state. Steam enters the turbine at 2.0 MPa and 350 °C with a specific enthalpy of 3137.0 kJ/kg and velocity of 30 m/s. The steam leaves the turbine at 0.1 MPa with a specific enthalpy of 2675.5 kJ/kg and a velocity of 80 m/s. The inlet is 5m higher than the exit.

(a) Determine the power developed by the turbine if the turbine is well-insulated and mass flow rate of steam at inlet is 1.5 kg/s.

(b) When the heat transfer of 200 kW occurs from the turbine to the surroundings, determine the mass flow rate of steam in order to generate the same power from the turbine.
