Problem
You have received a case in your preparation room that is in full rigor, meaning the muscles have contracted, and remain so. In order to ensure that the embalming fluid flows through the arterial system without being constricted by the muscles, and in order to properly position the deceased, you must move the arms, legs and neck in order to release the tensed muscles.
You begin by moving the head from left to right multiple times, then moving the head in a "nodding" motion, to release the muscles of the neck.
You then adduct and abduct the arms to release the muscles of the arms.
Lastly, you bring the legs into a "kneeling" position and back down to release the tension in the legs.
Describe the muscle groups in the neck, arms and legs that might be involved in the movements described above. Mention if the muscles are being flexed or extended with each movement.
