For this part of the profile you should again focus on one of your retail organizations, preferably the same one as you did for Part 1.

Also, again limit the analysis to a particular product line or product category, preferably one with which you are familiar. If necessary you may limit your focus to one particular product in such a product line. Describe the channel intensity for the manufacturer of the product/product line.

For a given geographic area (e.g., the town where you live, a town where you shop regularly) list other retailers who also carry the product/product line. List other methods or types of channel outlets for the product/product line (e.g., other physical stores, on-line stores, kiosks, etc.).

Does the manufacturer of the product/product line practice dual distribution? If so, briefly describe how it is doing so.Talk to a manager at your store. Ask if the manufacturer has attempted to control costs (e.g., changing roles of distribution partners, new distribution technologies or techniques, any addition of specialists to attempt an improvement in channel function).
