Define Impediments to infuse biology - Lack of trained people?
At present, biologists as a rule have not been trained sufficiently in quantitative approaches. A heavy dose of mathematics and statistics is not part of the standard biology curriculum. Most mathematicians and statisticians are not trained at all in biology (or in fact any another discipline). At last, little attention has been specified to collaborative approaches between disciplines.
